Guided bike ride along Juno and Gold beaches past the Juno Beach Centre, Arromanches and the British Normandy Memorial. Bike and helmet included.
This four-hour ride starts at La Crémaillère restaurant in Courseulles-sur-Mer, where the bikes are already waiting, so there is nothing to transport or set up. Each rider gets a bicycle, with a choice between a regular bike and an electric-assist one, plus a helmet. A local licensed guide leads the way, in English or French.
The route follows seaside bike paths along Juno and Gold Beaches toward Arromanches-les-Bains, where the remains of the artificial Mulberry harbour can be seen. Riders also pass the Juno Beach Centre, the Arromanches 360 circular cinema, a windmill at La Pierre Solain, and the British Normandy Memorial at Ver-sur-Mer. The return leg runs along small country roads, which the operator describes as a way to see a quieter side of Normandy. A snack and one drink are provided along the way.
The tour is pitched as an immersion in the history of the D-Day landings, combined with the landscapes of the Normandy coast. Hotel pickup and transport to the meeting point are not included. The operator also recommends lunch or dinner at the partner restaurant, La Crémaillère, before or after the ride.
A few practical points will help you prepare for four hours in the saddle on the Normandy coast.
Common issues. Hotel pickup is excluded, and a meal at the partner restaurant is not part of the package. Weather on the Channel coast can change quickly, so clothing choices matter. Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before the start, after which a refund is no longer guaranteed by that policy.
There is no hotel pickup. You meet the guide at the Hotel-Restaurant La Crémaillère, 23-25 Avenue de la Combattante, Courseulles-sur-Mer, where the bikes are already waiting on site.
The tour lasts four hours. It loops from Courseulles-sur-Mer along Juno and Gold Beaches to Arromanches and back through country roads past the British Normandy Memorial.
A qualified guide, one bicycle per person with a choice of regular or electric bike, a helmet, and a snack with one drink are included. Hotel pickup, transport to the meeting point at the La Crémaillère restaurant in Courseulles-sur-Mer, and any meal at the partner restaurant are not included.
Four hours of riding on seaside bike paths; electric-assist bikes are available as an alternative to a regular bicycle, which makes the day manageable for most riders, and a helmet is provided for each rider.
Yes, you can cancel up to 24 hours in advance for a full refund. Inside that window no refund is promised, so check the booking page for the exact terms.
